Prague’s finest hotels live inside its history. Four Seasons Hotel Prague stands on the Vltava beside Charles Bridge; Mandarin Oriental, Prague is carved out of a row of historic Malá Strana buildings, among them an old Dominican monastery whose chapel now holds the spa; the Augustine is in Malá Strana too, below the Castle. In the Old Town, the Fairmont Golden Prague faces the river at the end of Pařížská and the Hotel Paris, built in 1904, keeps its Neo-Gothic and Art Nouveau corner tower; in the New Town, W Prague has taken over a grand address on Wenceslas Square.
On the river and in the Old Town
Four Seasons Hotel Prague, at Veleslavínova 2A, has 157 rooms by the river at Charles Bridge, and CottoCrudo, in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide. The Fairmont Golden Prague, with 320 rooms, stands at Pařížská 30, where the avenue meets the Vltava. The Hotel Paris, built in 1904 and run by the Brandejs family for three generations, in its own words, is a listed Neo-Gothic building in the heart of the Old Town.

Mandarin Oriental, Prague, at Nebovidská 459/1, has 99 rooms in a row of historic buildings that include a 19th-century print shop and an old Dominican monastery, whose chapel holds the spa, as the MICHELIN Guide describes it. The Augustine, at Letenská 12/33, has 101 rooms below the Castle; the Aria Hotel, at Tržiště 9, and the Design Hotel Neruda, on Nerudova, stand on the climb to Hradčany.
Stay in Malá Strana or the Old Town to walk everywhere; the New Town is closer to the main station and the trams.
The New Town and Wenceslas Square
W Prague, with 161 rooms, is at Václavské náměstí 25. Andaz Prague (176 rooms) and The Julius (168 rooms) face each other across Senovážné náměstí; The Grand Mark (78 rooms) is on Hybernská, and Almanac X Alcron (204 rooms) on Štěpánská.
Design hotels
Hotel Josef, The Emblem, BoHo, The Manes and Mosaic House are among the design and boutique hotels in the MICHELIN Guide’s Prague selection.
Our advice: ask for a room facing the river or the Castle, and book early for Christmas and New Year.
