In the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Czechia, five Prague restaurants hold One Star: La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise and Field in the Old Town, Casa De Carli in Josefov, LEVITATE in Vinohrady and Štangl in Karlín; outside the city, Papilio at Vysoký Újezd holds the country’s only Two Stars. Seven Prague restaurants hold the Bib Gourmand, for good cooking at a moderate price, and five of them cook Czech food. Around them are the grand cafés of the First Republic, Café Imperial’s tiled hall and the pubs that pour Pilsner from the tank.
The starred tables
La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise on Haštalská, Field on U Milosrdných, Casa De Carli on Vězeňská, LEVITATE on Vinohradská and Štangl on Pernerova in Karlín each hold One MICHELIN Star in the 2026 guide.

The Eatery in Holešovice, Výčep in Vinohrady, U Kalendů on the Rašínovo embankment, Na Kopci in Smíchov and U Matěje in Dejvice cook Czech food with a Bib Gourmand in 2026; Alma in the New Town and Dejvická 34 by Tomáš Černý hold one too.
Book the starred tables well ahead; for Czech classics at lunch, try the Bib Gourmands.
In the MICHELIN Guide
The guide also lists V Zátiší, Mlýnec by Charles Bridge, CottoCrudo at Four Seasons, Café Imperial, Portfolio, Coda at the Aria Hotel, Aromi on Náměstí Míru, Salabka with its own vineyard at Troja, and many more.
The table and the glass
Look for svíčková, beef in a cream sauce with bread dumplings, goulash and roast pork with dumplings and cabbage; and a glass of Pilsner Urquell, first brewed in Plzeň in 1842.
Our advice: see our article on Czech cuisine for the dishes to look for.
