Hradčany is the Castle district: Prague Castle and St Vitus Cathedral on the ridge, the Loreta and Strahov Monastery, founded in 1140, with its two great library halls, on the way west.

The Strahov Monastic Brewery serves its own beer in the monastery courtyard.
Visit the Castle early, and Strahov in the afternoon.
